Jean Luc & Anna Lise: A Novel of the Napoleonic Wars by A.G. Cullen may have the look of a ponderous tome at a whooping 671 pages, but don’t let that deter you!  A daunting read at first, I was immediately drawn into the life of Jean Luc and the reality of the Napoleonic wars. Likely not a book I would have chosen for myself, this was a compelling read and the author expertly manages to keep the reader engaged throughout the entirety of the novel.
